Donald Trump Links Autism to Vaccines and Tylenol, Sparking Expert Backlash

During a recent press conference, former President Donald Trump made controversial claims linking autism to childhood vaccines and the use of Tylenol by pregnant women. Speaking alongside Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Trump suggested that pregnant women should avoid Tylenol to reduce autism risks and called for spreading out vaccine schedules or separating shots.

Trump likened the volume of vaccines given to babies to doses “like you’d give to a horse,” stirring strong condemnation from medical experts. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and Tylenol manufacturer Kenvue rejected Trump’s claims, stressing that scientific evidence shows no link between acetaminophen use during pregnancy and autism.

Despite Trump’s assertions, leading researchers warn that misinformation puts public health at risk and can cause undue fear among expectant mothers.
