While promoting his Prime Video show The Bondsman, Kevin Bacon recounted a startling incident from the 1998 thriller Wild Things. During a night scene filmed in a swamp near a river, the film crew found a dead body floating by.
Bacon described the moment and confirmed that the production paused while police removed the body to keep it off-screen. Entertainment Weekly previously reported the incident with insights from director John McNaughton.
Wild Things is a suspenseful neo-noir that follows a detective played by Bacon as he confronts a tangled web of crime and betrayal in Florida’s Blue Bay.
The film also stars Matt Dillon, Neve Campbell, Denise Richards, Theresa Russell, and Bill Murray.
