Thomas began living as a male from childhood and started hormone therapy at 23. Before that, he achieved success as a model and martial artist. After legally changing his gender, he paused testosterone in 2006 to conceive.

Susan’s birth was historic—a legally recognized man giving birth within a marriage to a woman. Thomas went on to have more pregnancies and raised his children with Nancy as a loving family.
