‘Dances With Wolves’ Star Graham Greene Dies at 73

The entertainment world is mourning the passing of renowned Canadian actor Graham Greene at the age of 73. Greene, best remembered for his role as the Sioux leader Kicking Bird in the 1990 film Dances With Wolves, earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his powerful performance. He was one of the pioneering Indigenous actors who brought depth and authenticity to his roles, breaking barriers in Hollywood.

Born in 1952 on the Six Nations Reserve in Ontario, Canada, Greene worked various jobs before discovering his passion for acting in the 1970s. He began his career on stage and later moved to film and television. Over nearly five decades, Greene appeared in over 200 projects including The Green MileWind RiverMaverick, and popular TV shows such as Tulsa King and Reservation Dogs.
