Dedicated Math Teacher Alejandro Navarro Passes Away After Working From Hospital Bed

Alejandro Navarro, a math teacher at Del Rio Middle School, recently passed away following a long battle with heart issues. His daughter, Sandra Venegas, shared his story on social media, revealing the depth of his dedication even in the face of illness. Just a week before Christmas, Alejandro’s condition worsened, and he was rushed to the hospital. At that critical point, his heart was functioning at only 20 percent, and he had significant kidney damage.

Despite his serious health struggles, Alejandro’s concern remained focused on his students. Sandra revealed that even while undergoing tests in the ICU, her father kept his laptop on his lap to finalize grades before going to the emergency room. She described the heavy workload teachers carry, often unseen by others, especially during difficult times like the pandemic or personal health crises.

Alejandro’s commitment to his students shone through until his last moments. His daughter urged people to recognize the sacrifices educators make and to respect their need for balance. Alejandro Navarro passed away shortly after completing his work, leaving behind a legacy of care and dedication.
