How the ‘World’s Deadliest Knife’ Could Save You from a Shark Attack

A fascinating simulation by YouTuber Zack D. Films reveals how a unique weapon, dubbed the “world’s deadliest knife,” could be used during a shark attack. The video explains that this knife contains a CO2 canister inside its handle. When the blade pierces a shark and a button is pressed, compressed gas shoots through a tube inside the blade, injecting freezing gas into the wound.

The gas expands violently, destroying the surrounding tissue and creating a shockwave powerful enough to cause the shark to explode from the inside, potentially saving the user. This innovative knife, known as the WASP injection CO2 knife, was initially developed to protect divers in open water from shark attacks.

Though there is no real footage of the knife used on sharks, tests have been done on ballistic gel and watermelons to mimic its effects. The knife costs between $500 and $600 depending on the model. While some people support the knife as a valid defense, others feel it’s cruel, pointing out that sharks rarely attack unless provoked.
