Security Expert Warned Charlie Kirk He’d ‘100% Be K-illed’ at Speaking Event

Months before the tragic shooting, a top security expert warned conservative activist Charlie Kirk that he was in “grave danger” of being shot and killed at one of his upcoming university events. Kirk, the 31-year-old co-founder of Turning Point USA, was shot and killed on September 10 while speaking at Utah Valley University.

Kris Herzog, owner of The Bodyguard Group of Beverly Hills, met Kirk in March during a rally at California State University. Herzog warned Kirk bluntly that without stringent security measures, including bulletproof glass panels and metal detectors, a sniper could strike—and likely aim for a headshot.

Despite receiving this warning, Kirk allegedly did not implement the recommended precautions. Herzog said at the time that Kirk’s security was “not even close” to what was necessary. Tragically, Herzog’s prediction that Kirk would be killed at an event came true.

Witnesses at Utah Valley University later described the event’s minimal security—no metal detectors, limited personnel, and unscanned entrances—raising questions about how the shooting could have occurred. Kirk’s final moments were captured live, heightening the shock and grief felt nationwide.

The incident has sparked calls to rethink safety protocols for public figures amid growing political violence. Kirk leaves behind his wife Erika and two young children, with many mourning a life cut short.
