Davina McCall Opens Up About Life-Altering Surgery

Davina McCall, known and loved by many for her vibrant personality, recently shared that she is undergoing brain surgery following a rare cancer diagnosis. The operation, scheduled for November 15, comes after the discovery of a benign brain tumor. In a heartfelt plea to her followers, McCall asked for prayers and support as she prepared to face this challenging chapter in her life. Her partner, Michael Douglas, accompanied her announcement with reassurances, explaining that she would need time to recover but was facing the situation with strength.

The diagnosis came after McCall underwent a routine health scan, expecting everything to be normal. Instead, doctors discovered a colloid cyst, a rare and benign tumor that occurs in only three out of a million cases. At first, McCall struggled to come to terms with the news, but after consulting multiple neurosurgeons, she made the courageous decision to proceed with surgery. She explained that the 14-millimeter tumor was taking up too much space in her brain and needed to be removed to prevent catastrophic health consequences.

On the morning of her surgery, McCall shared a video message describing the details of the procedure. Surgeons would perform a craniotomy, accessing her brain through the top and sides of her skull to remove the tumor. Speaking with her signature humor and charm, McCall joked, “They’ll get it, take it out, empty it, and Bob’s your uncle.” She concluded her message with a sincere appeal for prayers, assuring her followers that she felt positive and ready.

Douglas added his own light-hearted touch, joking about overseeing the surgery to ensure it was done right. Despite the gravity of the situation, McCall reassured everyone that she was in good health and fully trusted her medical team. “We’ve been through so much, but I know I’m in the best hands,” she said.

McCall also informed her fans that she would be away from social media for a short time, spending around nine days in the hospital. She encouraged her supporters not to worry, emphasizing her optimism and trust in her surgeon. Signing off with her characteristic warmth, she said, “I’ll see you on the other side.
