Tears streamed down Stella’s face as the ER doctor delivered the devastating news – her pregnancy wasn’t viable. At three months along with what they hoped would be their first daughter after two sons, she and husband Mark prepared to say goodbye.
“I was already imagining tiny pink dresses we’d never buy,” Stella shared. As they waited for the procedure to begin, a routine ultrasound revealed the impossible – their “miscarriage” was actually twins!
“The doctor came in looking stunned,” Mark recalled. “He said ‘I don’t know how we missed this earlier.'” The bleeding and pain had been Stella’s body making room for two babies instead of one.
Their high-risk pregnancy became a journey of careful hope. “Every kick, every ultrasound felt like a gift,” Stella said. When their twin girls arrived safely, the couple who had braced for loss found themselves doubly blessed. “Sometimes miracles come in pairs,” Mark smiled.
