“He Died in My Arms”: Twin Brother Recounts Tragic Stabbing at School Event

Hunter Metcalf will never forget the moment his twin brother, Austin, took his last breath. The 17-year-old was holding Austin after he was stabbed during a track meet at Frisco Memorial High School, his hands covered in blood as he begged his brother to hold on.

The violent altercation began when Austin asked another student, Karmelo Anthony, to move from a section reserved for his team. Witnesses say the exchange turned physical within seconds, ending with Anthony allegedly plunging a knife into Austin’s chest.

“I saw his soul leave,” Hunter said in a tearful interview. “And it took mine too.”

Austin, a star athlete with dreams of playing college football, was remembered by his father as a “leader” whose smile could light up a room. The family has been flooded with support, but no amount of condolences can ease the pain of losing a child to such senseless violence.

As Karmelo Anthony faces murder charges, the tragedy serves as a stark warning about the consequences of unchecked aggression—and the fragility of life.
