Growing Up Sprouse: How the Famous Twins Found Their Own Paths

The Sprouse twins’ story is one of Hollywood’s most fascinating evolution tales. Born in 1992, Dylan and Cole began acting before they could walk, sharing roles due to child labor laws. Their identical faces made them perfect for shows like “Grace Under Fire,” but it was 1999’s “Big Daddy” that showed their comedic chops.

Cole’s solo stint on “Friends” marked their first professional separation, with him playing Ross’s son Ben. He particularly loved the “Holiday Armadillo” episode: “The costumes and effects completely fascinated me,” he recalled.

After their Disney Channel fame with “The Suite Life,” both took a much-needed break for college. “I needed to see myself outside of acting,” Cole explained. This time away allowed them to return as mature artists – Cole now stars in “Riverdale,” while Dylan runs a Brooklyn meadery and does voice acting.
