A grieving brother’s poignant words have touched hearts worldwide following a horrific helicopter crash that claimed five members of a Spanish family and their pilot. Joan Camprubí Montal stood near the Hudson River crash site where his sister Merce, her husband Agustín, and their three children perished during what should have been a scenic New York tour.

“I believe that’s the best legacy we can give you,” Montal said of keeping his family’s memory alive. The tragedy unfolded when the helicopter, piloted by experienced former Navy SEAL Sean Johnson, reportedly suffered catastrophic mechanical failure mid-flight. Witness Max described the terrifying moment: “I saw the helicopter splitting in two… it just went straight into the water.”
