“Make Peace or Lose Everything”: Trump’s Stark Message to Ukraine

Donald Trump has never been one for diplomatic niceties, and his latest remarks to Ukraine’s leader are as direct as they come. In a scathing social media post, the former president told Volodymyr Zelensky to either negotiate with Russia immediately or prepare for total defeat.

The warning follows Zelensky’s repeated vows to reclaim Crimea, a stance Trump called delusional. “Crimea was lost under Obama, and no amount of posturing will change that,” Trump wrote. He accused Zelensky of inflaming tensions with “reckless” rhetoric while Ukrainian soldiers pay the price. “This war could end tomorrow if Zelensky stopped playing games,” he added.

The comments coincide with reports that U.S. officials are growing weary of Ukraine’s unwillingness to compromise. Secretary of State Marco Rubio hinted that America might step back from mediation, and Trump’s envoy has already begun direct talks with Moscow—a move that has raised eyebrows among NATO allies.

Critics argue Trump’s approach risks abandoning Ukraine, but the former president insists he’s the only one offering a realistic solution. “Zelensky has no cards left,” Trump said. “He can either save his country or watch it crumble.” With tensions escalating, the ball is now in Ukraine’s court.
