Oprah Winfrey Reveals Impressive ‘Ozempic’ Weight Loss During Italy Trip

Oprah Winfrey has recently caught attention not just for her adventures but for an impressive weight loss she has openly shared with the public. After retiring from daily television, Oprah has been focusing on her podcast and book club. She recently traveled to Italy to go truffle hunting, but what stood out in photos was her noticeably slimmer appearance.

Earlier this year, Oprah responded to false rumors about a private road she owns in Maui during a tsunami warning — she clarified that local authorities quickly ensured the road was opened to help residents evacuate safely. Now, stepping away from that incident, Oprah has been enjoying life abroad.

Her love for truffle hunting began years ago in Switzerland during a stay with Tina Turner. Oprah recalls Tina’s humorous wake-up greeting, introducing her to real truffles—wild mushrooms that grow underground. Since then, Oprah has pursued a passion for truffles wherever they grow, visiting truffle-rich regions like Italy this summer.

Along with sharing her latest truffle adventure, photos highlighted Oprah’s dramatic weight loss. She has been open about her journey with weight, revealing two years ago she started taking a medication called GLP-1, used to treat type 2 diabetes but known to aid weight loss. Since then, she has shed around 50 pounds.

In a January episode of her podcast, Oprah discussed how this medication changed her perspective on weight. She thought thin people had more willpower, eating better and resisting snacks easily, but GLP-1 taught her they simply eat when hungry and stop when full.

By openly sharing her experience, Oprah hopes to normalize conversations about weight loss drugs and remove stigma. She described herself as an “anomaly” for speaking openly about it.
