Our lives were forever changed on August 10, 2025. My precious daughter Hailey, lovingly called “GG,” was involved in a terrible car accident in Spalding County, Georgia. The car unexpectedly plunged into a lake at around 3:30 pm, and when emergency responders arrived, the vehicle was fully submerged. Hailey was trapped inside while the driver stood on top of the car without helping.
Thankfully, brave deputies and firefighters quickly broke a window and rescued her. Hailey was lifeless at first, but after CPR and emergency treatment, they managed to bring her back. She was airlifted to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, where I hurried to be by her side, desperate and uncertain if she would survive.
Hailey’s survival is nothing short of a miracle, though her battle has only just begun. Doctors have confirmed she suffered a severe brain injury, leaving her unable to speak, eat, or carry out basic activities on her own—though she can breathe independently. Hailey requires intense rehabilitation, ongoing medical care, and long-term support to regain strength and independence.
Despite this heartbreaking ordeal, my daughter is showing incredible determination and strength. I believe with time, prayers, and help from our community, she can continue to fight and defy the odds ahead.
We are reaching out for support because the care Hailey needs is costly and long-term. As her parent, my focus is solely on her recovery, making financial burdens even heavier.
Funds raised will provide for her rehabilitation therapies, medical bills, specialized equipment, transportation and lodging during treatments, and ongoing care expenses.
