Ricky Hatton, Beloved Boxing Champion, Dies Suddenly at 46

Ricky Hatton, one of Britain’s most popular and accomplished boxing fighters, was found dead at his home in Greater Manchester at the age of 46. Nicknamed “The Hitman,” Hatton’s boxing career spanned from 1997 to 2012, achieving multiple world titles in the light welterweight and welterweight divisions.

Hatton’s impressive record of 45 wins, including 32 knockouts, and battles against legends such as Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao made him a celebrated athlete worldwide. Despite openly struggling with mental health and addiction after retiring, he was preparing for a comeback fight scheduled for December 2025.
