The football world is mourning the loss of Billy Vigar, a promising 21-year-old former Arsenal youth player who tragically passed away after sustaining a significant brain injury during a match. Playing for Chichester City in the Isthmian League Premier Division, Vigar collided with a concrete wall while trying to keep the ball in play at a match against Wingate and Finchley.
Vigar was immediately rushed to hospital, where he was placed in an induced coma and underwent surgery to improve his chances of recovery. Despite medical efforts, he sadly passed away on the morning of September 25, 2025.
