Travis Kelce Reacts to Trump’s Mockery of Taylor Swift After Tough Week

Travis Kelce has had a week to forget. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback suffered a 40-22 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on February 9, but the game’s outcome was just the beginning of his troubles. During the match, his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, was booed by Eagles fans, and former President Donald Trump later mocked the incident on social media, leaving Kelce visibly upset.

A source close to Kelce revealed to MailOnline that the athlete was deeply affected by the crowd’s reaction to Swift. “Travis saw Taylor being booed, and he felt helpless. Seeing her reaction really got to him,” the insider shared. “He always looks out for her, so this was really hard for him to watch.” The source also explained that many Eagles fans view Swift as a “traitor” due to her Pennsylvania roots and her past support for the team before dating Kelce.

Trump’s comments added salt to the wound. On Truth Social, he wrote, “Trump gets massive cheers at the Super Bowl while Taylor Swift gets boos. The world is healing!” In a follow-up post, he added, “The only person who had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. MAGA is very unforgiving!” Kelce, who had earlier expressed honor at the president’s attendance, was reportedly disappointed by the remarks. “Travis felt it was unnecessary for Trump to take a dig at her, especially after he had said he was honored to have the president there,” the source explained.

Despite the challenges, Kelce and Swift remain united. “It hasn’t been a good week for them—Taylor missed out on a Grammy, and Travis lost the big game—but he’s grateful for her love and support,” the insider added.
