Eggs, Bologna, and a Whole Lot of Exaggeration

One day, my ex showed up at my house after I had asked him to leave. He handed me a bag containing a dozen eggs and a half-pound of bologna. I took it without much thought, just to get him to go away. It seemed like a strange but harmless gesture.

Later that day, I ran into a mutual friend who said, “I saw Alex today, and he was bragging about how he’d stocked your fridge completely.” I couldn’t help but laugh. A simple bag of eggs and bologna had somehow turned into a tale of him being a hero who filled my fridge to the brim. It was a hilarious example of how some people love to exaggerate their actions, even when the truth is far less impressive.
