“The DOGE Dividend, created by entrepreneur James Fishback, would send $5,000 checks to U.S. households. Funded by $202 trillion, the plan also includes money to help reduce the national debt.

While supporters hail it as a win for accountability, critics question whether deep budget cuts could undermine critical programs. Musk’s involvement has added intrigue, with the billionaire reportedly advising Trump on implementation strategies.

If approved, Americans could see their first payments as soon as next year—potentially rewriting the rules of fiscal policy.
