Donald Trump has never been one to mince words, and his latest response to questions about Jeffrey Epstein was no exception. “Are people still talking about this guy? This creep? That is unbelievable,” he remarked when pressed about their past relationship—a connection back in the spotlight after CNN unearthed photos of Epstein at Trump’s 1993 wedding.
The images, described by the White House as “innocuous” and taken out of context, nonetheless confirm Epstein’s presence at a pivotal Trump family event. Photographer Dafydd Jones, who shot the wedding, noted he “must have recognized” Epstein but was focused on the bride and groom.
Trump’s camp has long maintained that the former president distanced himself from Epstein in the mid-2000s, even banning him from Mar-a-Lago. Yet the DOJ’s recent refusal to release additional Epstein files—claiming they found “no basis” for disclosure—has left critics unsatisfied. For now, Trump’s strategy appears to be blunt dismissal: When CNN requested comment, his reply was a terse, “You’ve got to be kidding me.”
