Kelly Clarkson Opens Up About Her Weight Loss Journey and Clears Up the Ozempic Rumor

Kelly Clarkson has recently been in the spotlight because of her noticeable weight loss, and many have been curious about how she achieved her transformation. Until now, she kept her journey fairly private, but she has finally spoken honestly about it.

During an episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show featuring Whoopi Goldberg, who shared her own weight loss experience using medication, Kelly joined the conversation and revealed that she had also been prescribed weight loss medicine. She explained that this wasn’t a choice she made lightly.

Kelly said the medication she uses isn’t the popular Ozempic that many assume. Rather, her doctor prescribed a different treatment after finding issues in her bloodwork. She explained, “My body doesn’t process sugar the way it should, so this helps me.”

Before this, Kelly had credited her weight loss to a more active lifestyle in New York City and a diet high in protein. However, this candid confession shows there was more involved in her health journey.

She also recalled a moment when she watched footage of herself at a concert, realizing she was at her heaviest weight then—203 pounds—and it was a turning point that motivated her change.

Kelly joins other celebrities like Oprah and Rebel Wilson who have openly talked about using medication as part of their wellness journeys. Her honesty helps clear up misconceptions and encourages open discussions around weight loss.
