Ozzy passed away on July 22 at age 76 after battling Parkinson’s disease, with the cause of death ruled as a heart attack. Jack’s video, posted on YouTube, gives fans an intimate look into his grief.
Jack explained that after spending quality time with his father in the UK following Ozzy’s last concert on July 5, he flew back to Los Angeles. It was there, at 3:45 AM local time, that a longtime family employee knocked on his door to deliver the devastating news. Jack knew instantly something was terribly wrong.
In the video, Jack recounts how special and joyful that final week was with his dad, and though overwhelmed by sorrow, he found comfort knowing his father was no longer suffering. He quickly booked a flight back to England, where he was reunited with family during this painful time.
