Ellen DeGeneres shared a touching tribute following the death of Tayt Andersen, a young fan and cherished guest on her show. Tayt, born with half a heart, underwent 12 surgeries before age nine and received a heart transplant at ten. Sadly, after battling post-transplant lymphoma and later bladder cancer, Tayt passed away on September 26, 2025, at the age of 19.
In a heartfelt video, Ellen recalled how Tayt considered her his girlfriend, a bond they lovingly shared. Tearfully, she described him as a “very special little human being” who filled every room with joy and laughter. Ellen promised he would be deeply missed.
Tayt’s mother, Chrissy Becker, thanked Ellen for the strength she gave her son, emphasizing the profound impact Ellen had during Tayt’s health struggles.
