Janelle Scott, a 31-year-old woman from Okmulgee, Oklahoma, endured a life-altering attack by two pitbulls while riding her bike with her boyfriend on September 9, 2025. The dogs, reportedly belonging to a friend whose trailer had been broken into allowing their escape, viciously mauled Scott, causing critical injuries.
Her boyfriend intervened, fatally shooting one of the dogs, but Scott sustained severe wounds requiring emergency medical attention. She was airlifted to Tulsa St. Frances Hospital, where surgeons first amputated her right arm and left leg due to the extent of damage.

Scott’s mother, Cheryl, has shared emotional updates, emphasizing her daughter’s strength amid ongoing surgeries and rehabilitation efforts. The family has launched a GoFundMe campaign raising over $19,000 to support mounting medical bills.
