Justin Fuller, a 35-year-old skydiving instructor from Nashville, tragically died after becoming separated from his student during a tandem jump. The Metro Nashville Police Department confirmed that Fuller fell from the plane without a parachute, leading to his fatal fall.
The student, who remained connected to an open parachute, became stuck in a tree near Ashland City Highway and was rescued by firefighters after hours of being suspended. The student was reported conscious and stable following the rescue.
Authorities are investigating the incident, with the Federal Aviation Administration involved. Go Skydive Nashville, the company organizing the jump, expressed sorrow over Fuller’s death and is cooperating with investigators. The instructor was highly experienced, having completed over 5,000 jumps and trained military personnel.
