Expert Reveals The Only Jobs Safe From AI, While 44 Face High Risk

As AI technology advances rapidly, many worry about the future of their jobs. Jamie Dimon and other experts have voiced concerns, but expert Robert Phelps highlights that while AI will automate many tasks, some jobs remain “safe” due to the need for human qualities.

Phelps explains that roles requiring empathy, such as mental health professionals and counselors, cannot be replaced by AI. Similarly, emergency service workers like paramedics and firefighters need physical presence and judgement that AIs cannot mimic. Surprisingly, creative jobs in writing, design, and music will also endure, as true creativity is irreplaceable.

A recent study based on OpenAI’s real-world task performance identified 44 jobs with a high likelihood of automation, including clerks, sales managers, editors, and software developers, among others. While AI excels at repetitive tasks, soft skills—creativity, communication, ethics, and critical thinking—will become increasingly valuable.
