Kamala Harris Reveals Private Trump Comment After 2024 Election

Former Vice President Kamala Harris recently shared a surprising private interaction with Donald Trump amidst her book tour promoting her memoir 107 Days. During the 2024 presidential campaign, Harris faced harsh public criticism from Trump, who frequently attacked her on the campaign trail. Despite this, Harris revealed that Trump’s tone in private phone calls was notably different.

Following the second assassination attempt on Trump in September 2024, Harris said Trump called her and expressed a desire to be “nicer” to her moving forward. He told her, “How do I say bad things about you now? I’m going to tone it down. I will. You’re going to see.” Harris recalled this exchange with some amusement, highlighting the paradox between Trump’s public attacks and the private civility he offered.

Trump ended the call with remarks about his daughter Ivanka being a “big fan” of Harris and complimented her husband, Doug Emhoff. Nonetheless, Harris maintained in her book that she considers Trump a “con man,” despite his grudging respect in private.

At a public “Day of Unreasonable Conversation” event, Harris used strong language to criticize the Trump administration, calling them “crazy mother—-ers,” which earned applause. Harris also shared the emotional toll of losing the election, comparing it to the pain of losing her mother. Her memoir aims to provide an honest account of her historic but painful campaign against Trump.
