A Thai couple’s road trip took an unexpected turn when the husband drove off without realizing he had left his wife behind. Boontom Chaimoon, 55, and his wife, Amnuay Chaimoon, 49, were traveling together when the incident occurred in the early hours of the morning. After stopping for a restroom break, Boontom got back into the car and continued driving, completely unaware that his wife was still outside.
Amnuay had stepped away to find a secluded spot in the bushes, as it was around 3 a.m. When she returned, she was shocked to find her husband and the car gone. To make matters worse, her phone was left in the vehicle, leaving her stranded without any way to contact him. With no other options, Amnuay began walking alone in the dark, covering an impressive 12.5 miles to seek help.
After a long and challenging journey, Amnuay finally reached a police station, where officers assisted her in contacting her husband. Boontom, who had driven nearly 100 miles before realizing his wife was missing, was stunned to hear what had happened. Fortunately, the story had a happy ending, as the couple was reunited without any harm done. However, it’s safe to assume they had a serious conversation about communication and double-checking before driving off in the future.
