For Bret Baier and his family, 2024 was a year they’ll never forget. What they thought was a simple cold in their 16-year-old son, Paul, turned out to be a life-threatening heart condition requiring emergency surgery.
Paul, a gifted golfer and tennis player, had already undergone four heart surgeries due to congenital defects. But when doctors found a golf ball-sized aneurysm near his heart, the situation became dire. “We were told it could burst at any second,” Bret shared. “It was terrifying.”
