A Father’s Redemption at His Daughter’s Wedding

Vasily hadn’t seen his daughter since she was a child. Now, 25 years later, he stood outside her wedding venue, praying for just one glimpse of her.

But the groom’s parents refused to let him in. “You abandoned her,” the mother hissed. “You don’t deserve to be here.”

Vasily didn’t argue. He knew his mistakes. But he couldn’t leave without trying.

When no one was looking, he entered the hall and sang the song he used to sing to Yanna at bedtime.

The moment she heard it, she knew. “Papa!” she cried, running into his arms.

The guests erupted in applause. Even the groom’s parents, who had been so cruel, now wept openly.

Vasily gave Yanna her mother’s necklace—the one he had kept safe all these years. “I’m so sorry,” he whispered.

Yanna hugged him tightly. “You’re here now. That’s all that matters.”
