Sean “Diddy” Combs’ legal troubles have become a major topic of discussion, and now Donald Trump has chimed in on whether he’d consider granting the rapper a pardon if convicted.
Combs is currently on trial for serious allegations, including sex trafficking and racketeering, which he has denied. The case has featured testimonies from several key figures, such as his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura and former associates.
When asked about the situation, Trump didn’t rule out the possibility of a pardon but said he hadn’t been closely following the trial. “People are thinking about asking,” he remarked. “But I’d need to examine the facts before making any decision.”
Trump also touched on his past relationship with Diddy, mentioning that they were once friendly but had drifted apart. “He liked me before I got into politics,” Trump said. “But things changed—suddenly, there were negative comments in the press.”
Despite any personal history, Trump insisted that his judgment wouldn’t be swayed by personal feelings. “It’s not about popularity,” he stated. “If someone was treated unfairly, I’d consider that, regardless of whether they support me or not.”
