When a farmer introduced a new rooster to his flock, he never expected the whirlwind of activity that followed. Within hours, the young stud had serviced all 150 hens – not once, but twice in the same day. By morning, his amorous adventures expanded to include every female creature in the barnyard, regardless of species.
The farmer alternated between admiration and concern as he witnessed this incredible display of endurance. But his worry turned to presumed tragedy when he later found the rooster sprawled lifeless in the dirt, vultures beginning their descent.
“You had this coming, you randy little…” the farmer began, only to be interrupted when one of the rooster’s eyes fluttered open. With a sly wing gesture toward the approaching birds of prey, he hushed the farmer: “Not yet…wait for it…”
