Panic set in when the woman couldn’t find her keys after a meeting. After patting herself down thoroughly, she rushed to the parking lot only to find her car gone. Remembering her husband’s constant warnings about leaving keys in the ignition, she called police to report the theft.
The call to her husband was even more stressful. “I left my keys in the car and it’s been stolen,” she confessed. After a long silence came his exasperated reply: “I dropped you off!” Turns out she hadn’t driven to the meeting at all. The situation became even more awkward when he had to explain to confused officers why he wasn’t actually stealing his own vehicle.
