Jennifer Lopez, 56, recently opened up about her 2024 divorce from Ben Affleck during a heartfelt interview on CBS Sunday Morning on September 28, 2025. The singer and actress described the split as a difficult period in her life but also acknowledged it as a pivotal turning point.
While promoting her new film Kiss of the Spider Woman, Lopez revealed that Ben Affleck, who served as the movie’s executive producer, played a critical role in helping the project come to life despite their personal challenges. “The movie wouldn’t have been made if it wasn’t for him and Artist Equity—I will always give him that credit,” she said.
Reflecting on balancing her career and personal upheaval, Lopez said, “It was the best and worst of times. Every moment on set brought joy, but back home, it was tough. I had to reconcile those realities, but I got through it.”
Lopez admitted the divorce helped her grow into a more self-aware person. “It was the best thing that ever happened to me because it changed me. I’m a different person now.”
