Eric Dane, widely recognized as Dr. McSteamy on Grey’s Anatomy, revealed in April 2025 that he is battling amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a progressive and incurable neurological disease. Now, friends report that Dane’s condition has worsened significantly — he is using a wheelchair and struggling with speech.

ALS gradually strips away patients’ abilities to walk, speak, eat, and breathe. Despite this, Dane remains determined to fight, focusing on hopes to live long enough to see his daughters graduate and live fulfilling lives.
