A family trip in Tennessee turned into a terrifying experience when one-year-old Lachlan suddenly started choking while playing with a toy in his car seat. Parents Jordan and Rachel Flom had been driving with their young children when they noticed something was wrong.
Jordan heard a strange noise coming from Lachlan and immediately suspected the toddler was struggling to breathe. Thanks to a small dashboard camera aimed at the backseat, they quickly realized Lachlan was choking. Rachel quickly unbuckled her seatbelt and rushed back to help.
Jordan stopped the car abruptly and administered several back blows to Lachlan, who soon coughed up a yellow object and started crying. The swift response likely saved Lachlan’s life, and bystanders who saw the vehicle swerve called for help.
Jordan later posted about the incident on Facebook, warning parents about the dangers posed by toys that can easily break apart and encouraging the use of cameras to monitor children in the car.
