Christian Brueckner, the main suspect in the disappearance of British toddler Madeleine McCann, made a startling claim involving the case just weeks after his release from prison. The German national, who served a seven-year sentence for an unrelated rape conviction, was seen in a phone store boasting that he holds information which could solve what he described as “the scandal of the century.”
Reportedly speaking to shop workers in Germany, Brueckner claimed he possessed evidence that could end all accusations against him, referencing “USB sticks” in a cryptic manner. He even openly displayed his electronic ankle tag while setting up a new phone and WhatsApp account.
Employees at the store expressed concern that Brueckner seemed involved in something much larger, hinting at a network of people potentially involved in the McCann mystery. German prosecutors previously asserted they have “concrete evidence” that Madeleine is deceased, and law enforcement is closely monitoring Brueckner to prevent further offenses.
