Zelda Williams Condemns AI Videos of Late Father Robin Williams as ‘Disgusting’

Zelda Williams, daughter of the late Robin Williams, has spoken out in a powerful Instagram statement urging fans to stop sending her AI-generated videos of her father. The beloved comedian and actor, who passed away in 2014, has become the subject of controversial AI recreations that Zelda finds deeply disturbing.

“Please, just stop sending me AI videos of Dad,” she wrote. “Stop believing I wanna see it or that I’ll understand. I don’t and I won’t.” Zelda stressed that such videos are not art but “disgusting, over-processed hotdogs” made from people’s lives and legacies.

She criticized the AI culture for recycling and remixing existing content without respect, calling it a “grotesque cycle” that trivializes human creativity and history. Zelda’s heartfelt plea shines a light on the ethical challenges posed by AI in entertainment, especially regarding deceased individuals.
