Tiger Woods’ Son Charlie Achieves Golfing Milestone at PNC Championship 2024

In a thrilling moment at the PNC Championship 2024, Charlie Woods, the 15-year-old son of golf legend Tiger Woods, made his first-ever hole-in-one. The impressive feat took place during the final round of the tournament at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Florida.

Charlie’s incredible shot was made with a 7-iron on a par-3 hole. As the ball landed smoothly into the cup, Charlie’s face lit up with a startled smile. He turned to his father, Tiger, for a heartfelt hug, as the audience erupted in applause.

Tiger, beaming with pride, exclaimed, “Yeah!” and playfully pushed Charlie as they celebrated together. Charlie described the experience as “awesome” and one of the most enjoyable moments he’s ever had on the golf course.

The memorable moment was a highlight of Tiger’s illustrious career. “That’s one of the highlights we’ve ever had,” he said, praising Charlie’s growth as a golfer. Tiger noted that Charlie had made his first eagle on the previous hole, making the two-hole stretch “enchanted.”

Tiger emphasized the importance of being a reliable partner in scramble-style golf, while acknowledging that he’s not in optimal physical condition for competitive play. However, the opportunity to team up with his son and share special moments on the course made the tournament truly rewarding.

The PNC Championship 2024 saw Team Woods finish second for the second consecutive year, behind Team Langer. Despite the loss, Bernhard Langer expressed confidence in Team Woods’s future success, saying, “They’re going to win this thing in the next few years. They’re just too good.”

Tiger has been offering guidance to Charlie as he navigates the golfing world. “I just want him to be himself,” Tiger said. “He’s going to have the last name, but I want him to make his own identity, follow his own path, and have his own journey.”

As Charlie grows as a golfer and individual, he will undoubtedly face challenges in the spotlight. Tiger acknowledged that Charlie will have to cope with the constant scrutiny of social media, but expressed confidence in his son’s ability to handle the pressure. “I think he’s doing a great job,” Tiger said. “I’m always here for him.”
