From Comedy Clubs to Fox News: Jamie Lissow’s Unlikely Journey

Jamie Lissow spent 20 years as a working comic, performing in clubs across the country and dreaming of his big break. Then, a case of mistaken identity changed everything. Thanks to an unexpected friendship with Greg Gutfeld and Kat Timpf, Lissow went from relative obscurity to Fox News stardom—and now, he’s co-hosting his own show.

It all started when audiences kept confusing Lissow with Gutfeld. After one performance, a group of fans rushed up to him, raving about his “hilarious show”—only to realize they’d mistaken him for the Fox News host. The mix-up led to an introduction, and soon, Lissow was a regular guest on Red Eye, Gutfeld’s late-night comedy show.

From there, his career took off. His appearances on Gutfeld! made him a fan favorite, and his Dry Bar Comedy special, Something Awesome, went viral with over 20 million views. But what really set him apart was his willingness to speak his mind.

“I wasn’t always political,” Lissow admits. “But the more I saw, the more I realized how ridiculous some things had become. If you said something as simple as ‘Men shouldn’t fight women in MMA,’ suddenly you were ‘controversial.’ That’s when I knew where I stood.”

Now, he’s co-hosting his own Fox show alongside Gutfeld and Timpf, proving that sometimes, success comes from the most unexpected places. For Lissow, it’s a reminder that in comedy—and in life—timing is everything.
